California Business Opportunities is a full service business brokerage, packaging, opinions of values, expert witness testimony, SBA Lending information, consulting, mergers and acquisition firm. Our association of independent business brokers was established in 1993 by five professional business brokers with over 55 years of business brokerage experience including a varied background of technical and business skills to assist all their clients in selling and purchasing businesses.

The firm has been affiliated with national organizations including the International Business Brokers Association (IBBA), the Institute of Business Appraisers (IBA), and the California Association of Business Brokers. Our associates have also served on various committees and served on the board of these associations. We network with qualified intermediaries throughout the United States and can assist you in locating sellers of businesses locally, regionally and nationally.

Angelo Izzo has been in the business brokerage industry since 1977, and remains one of the most trusted and represented brokers in the industry. He first learned the business with United Business Investments based in Paramount, California, which at that time was the largest independent business brokerage in the nation. He was the first VR Business Broker franchisee in the West Coast, and established his office in San Francisco from 1981 to 1989. Later he joined the newly organized association of business brokers, California Business Opportunities. He presents over 30 years of professional business brokerage experience in marketing hundreds of small business during that time.

Darlene DiLorenzo has been in the business brokerage industry since 2002. For the past nine years, Ms. DiLorenzo has been involved in privately held merger & acquisitions, representing both sell and buy side. She works extensively with business owners to prepare the business for change of ownership, conducting both operational and financial reviews. Each business must be valued and to that end Ms. DiLorenzo completed a four-week extensive Investment Banking Boot camp focused on i) financial statement analysis, (ii) Valuation methodologies and (iii) financial modeling. Prior to this, Ms. DiLorenzo worked with several software start-ups. Ms. DiLorenzo is a licensed real-estate broker in the state of California. She is in the process of receiving certification as a business appraiser and often works with banks on business valuations for loan approvals. She is a graduate of the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA with a degree in Biology. She is conversationally fluent in German and is the mother of two boys.
